Russia Lifts Restrictions on BestChange Crypto Exchange Aggregator
The Bank of Russia has reversed its decision to block BestChange.ru, allowing the popular cryptocurrency exchange aggregator to resume operations in the country. This follows a three-month restriction imposed by Roskomnadzor, Russia's media regulator, which had previously forced the platform to disable certain features for local users.
BestChange's legal team successfully challenged the ban, as it has done multiple times since 2017. The Central Bank's Information Security Department initiated the unblocking after the aggregator adjusted its content for Russian audiences. Market observers view this as a tentative softening toward crypto services amid Russia's evolving regulatory landscape.
